Call me Lizzy.

I’m a first-time candidate for political office and I’m ready to step up and do what’s right for the residents of California’s 8th Congressional District. I truly appreciate the salt of the earth people that reside here in the Inland Empire and I hope to meet many of you in the days to come.

Here’s a little bit about me to start:

I’m a single mother of two and a grandmother of three.

This is what keeps me going every day – I want to make our great nation a safe place for all kids, from school to the environment to their opportunities for work and education.

My children and I were born in Inland Empire/Highland and I’ve owned 3 homes here. My daughter works with terminally ill children and is finishing her Master’s degree this year. My son is a regional marketing manager who is graduating college with his his Bachelor’s this year. My parents still share the home my dad built here in 1967.

My family has owned and operated businesses in the IE since the early 1950s. They are all are educators; My dad taught in San Bernardino Unified District for 40 years, finally retiring at (the very young age of) 80 from substitute teaching in Redlands Unified District.

I’ve worked all my life — from the age of 16.

  • I’ve managed a payroll and owned a restaurant/deli/catering service for just under 10 years.
  • I’ve been the proud employee for the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Tribe for 12 years.

I hope we get to meet soon and that you will decide to work with me in my run for office.
